The National Basketball Wives Association:
A diverse group of dynamic and influential women

History & Culture

The National Basketball Wives Association, Incorporated (NBWA) was established on July 18, 2016 as a charitable, not-for-profit corporation comprised of wives, significant others and life partners who aim to build a bridge of support for each other while accomplishing the organization’s philanthropic goals.

Devoted to the Game

Committed to making a difference

Since the inception of two preeminent basketball brands, the National Basketball Association (NBA) in 1946 and the Harlem Globetrotters (HG) in 1926, the women beside the men have worked hard to positively improve the quality of life for their families and communities both on and off the court.

The NBWA devotes time and focus to causes on a local and national level. Through heightened public and social awareness, members are able to raise charitable funds that directly benefit several local charities. We aim to expand our outreach internationally in the years to come.
