Sabrina Galloway
President, NBWA

I am honored to serve as NBWA’s board president. The NBWA is a volunteer-based nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with members that reside all over the U.S. and in other countries. We are focused on the development of our members to be catalysts and agents of positive transformation for themselves, their families and their communities.

 

Our three strategic priority areas are: (1) the economic advancement of women and families; (2) education and youth development; and (3) membership engagement. We invite you to partner with us as we convene educational sessions designed to advance the health and financial well-being of women, work with schools to drive social and academic outcomes for K-12 students, and financially support and showcase nonprofit organizations that are driving impact in their communities.

Our Mission

The NBWA LOVES. The NBWA CARES. The NBWA GIVES.

The National Basketball Wives Association (NBWA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2005 by a group of wives and significant others of basketball players in the United States. Since its inception, NBWA has provided support, resources, and networking opportunities for the wives of current and former NBA players and it has given back to communities across the country through various charitable initiatives.

The NBWA has grown significantly since its founding with members joining from across the United States and other countries.

NBWA members are cognizant of the significance of their voice and influence. Thus, they have joined the NBWA to collectively and strategically convene stakeholders, partners, influencers and funders to combat existing disparities that impact women, youth and families.

Our Vision

The vision of the NBWA is that the uneven playing field for women, youth and families will be leveled where they are positioned to thrive.

LOVES

NBWA LOVES the communities we live in, our husbands and significant others play in and we visit.

CARES

NBWA CARES about empowering women, youth and our children. We strongly believe in the adage; “It takes a village”.

GIVES

NBWA GIVES back to the cities we visit through our NBA journey year after year.
