2025 Digital Advocacy Campaigns

Our members and leadership use their platforms to spark vital conversations and demand action on the issues that matter most.

Black Maternal Health Week

April 11-17

In 2025, the NBWA launched a high-impact digital campaign dedicated to ending the maternal health crisis.

  • The Message: Members of our Board shared deeply personal stories to humanize the disparities in maternal care.
  • The Call to Action: We advocated for policy shifts and increased community-based support to ensure that every Black mother has the right to a safe, respectful, and joyful birthing experience.

National Family Caregiving Month

November

Recognizing that caregiving is the backbone of our families, the NBWA dedicated the month of November to the millions of unpaid caregivers across the country.

    • The Conversation: Through a series of digital spotlights, our members discussed the emotional, physical, and financial realities of caregiving.
    • The Impact: By sharing their own journeys, our members highlighted the urgent need for better resources, respite care, and societal recognition for those who care for our most vulnerable loved ones.
