NFL Wives Association and National Basketball Wives Association Launch National Partnership with Inaugural Youth Sports Giveback in Las Vegas
Both organizations team up for the first time ever to empower youth through sports, starting with a free girls basketball clinic during NBA Summer League
Las Vegas, NV – For the first time in history, the Off the Field NFL Wives Association (OTFNFLWA) and the National Basketball Wives Association (NBWA) are joining forces to launch a nationwide collaboration focused on youth empowerment through sports. Their inaugural community service project — a free
basketball clinic for girls in grades 2–8 — will tip off Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Las Vegas during the NBA Summer League.
In partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada, the clinic is designed to promote confidence, teamwork, leadership, and fun for young girls of all skill levels. This event marks the beginning of a multi-city initiative where both organizations will host sports-focused youth engagement activities across the country.
“We’re more than just wives of athletes – we’re doctors, lawyers, moms, mentors, and community builders. Sports and education opened doors for our families, and now we want to help open those same doors for the next generation using our Road to the LA 2028 Olympics Campaign. If even one child walks away from
our events feeling inspired, confident, and seen, then we’ve done something truly special,” said Tenisha Patterson Brown, Esq., President of OTFNFLWA.
“This partnership reflects our shared belief that sports can open doors and change lives,” said Sabrina Galloway, President of the National Basketball Wives Association. “By coming together, we’re modeling what sisterhood, service, and strategic impact look like. We’re excited to kick this off in Las Vegas and
expand to more cities.”
Participants Will Enjoy:
- Expert-led basketball drills and interactive games
- Free breakfast and lunch
- Giveaways, and prizes
- A chance to meet inspiring women from the world of pro sports
